About Kerbiq
Kerbiq gives you a single, trustworthy intelligence layer over any English postcode. We combine data from 10+ government sources into one simple score.
Scoring Methodology
Each of England's ~33,000 LSOAs (Lower Layer Super Output Areas) receives a score from 0-100 across 7 domains. Scores are computed nightly using percentile ranking — a score of 75 means the area is better than 75% of areas nationally.
Crime
20%Weighted crime rate per 1,000 population using police.uk data. Violent crime weighted highest.
Schools
20%Distance-weighted Ofsted ratings and performance data for schools within 3km.
Environment
15%Flood risk from Environment Agency data combined with DEFRA air quality measurements.
Housing
15%EPC energy ratings and 5-year house price trend stability.
Health
15%CQC-rated GP practices within 5km and NHS hospital waiting times.
Connectivity
10%Average broadband download speeds from Ofcom Connected Nations data.
Planning
5%Development pressure — planning applications within 2km in the last 2 years.

All data is sourced from UK government open data under the Open Government Licence:

Coverage
Kerbiq currently covers England only. Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are planned for a future release.
